Il softair o soft air o tiro tattico sportivo è un'attività ludico-ricreativa di squadra basata sulla simulazione di tattiche militari. Il softair si distingue dalle altre attività basate sulla simulazione militare per l'utilizzo delle Air Soft Gun (in inglese letteralmente arma ad aria compressa) da cui appunto prende il nome. È caratterizzato da una grande varietà di giochi diversi che spaziano da un approccio meramente ludico ad un approccio di tipo sportivo, da un approccio ricreativo ad un approccio strategico-simulativo, comprendendo varie sfumature all'interno di questi quattro estremi. Nonostante l'apparenza bellicosa, il softair è innocuo, non violento e basato sul corretto confronto sportivo. Proprio per queste caratteristiche è ormai frequente l'utilizzo di questo gioco nell'ambito del team building, del problem solving e della formazione aziendale[1]. Il nome deriva dall'inglese, sebbene in inglese il gioco sia chiamato airsoft o air soft.
